RENEWAL ORCHIDS
The orchids and flowers on this page are created on the torch using traditional Lampworking methods. They are made out of Borosilicate glass and mounted on driftwood from Nags Head, Outer Banks, North Carolina. Some of the wood drifted down from the Dismal Swamp after the fire that smoldered there for several months in the peat bogs. Some pieces are mounted on Lava Rock from southern Utah.
The flower's roots are intertwined and woven around the contours of the piece it is mounted on.

Ultra Violet Reactive. These orchids change color depending on if displayed in standard lighting or UV light. Some elements will also glow in the dark if charged with sunlight.
